Entry Requirements for Undergraduates

Candidates should have at least an MSCE or quivalent and should have accummulated at least six credits including English. All applicants who have an MCSE or its equivalent are required to sit for an entrance examination and selection will depend on both your MCSE grades and the entrance exam mark on a 50:50 ratio.

Parallel Programmes

Chancellor College has introduced Parallel Programmes to some of its existing programmes. The programmes are intended to offer opportunities for further studies for persons who want to pursue further studies at the College as full fee paying and non-residential students.

Applying for Parallel programs

  • Check if you meet the Entry Requirements
  • Download/request an Application Form
  • Submit a written application with all the necessary documents and clearly labelled "Parallel Programmes" to :
    Registrar, Chancellor College, P.O. Box 280, Zomba.

Applicants from High Schools and other colleges

The University has a general entrance requirement which is described in terms of   'A'-levels and GCSEs or a range of other qualifications that they regard as equivalent. Details should be sought from  the Admissions Registrar's Office .
 
The level of the normal offer for each degree also depends on the faculty you want to join. Say if you want to join the Faculty of Science then you should have good grades in the sciences.

 

Entry Requirements for PostGraduates

Candidates should have at least a first degree or its equivalent in the particular subject. The information on degree schemes and courses offered is provided by the individual departments and Research centres.

 

Fees and Grants

Undergraduates

Upon being selected to the university some malawian citizens are given a government scholarship. The scholarshipcovers accomodation, food and tuition. Except for the book allowance the money is not given to you directly butgiven to the college which then provides you with the necessary services :food and accomodation.Every student is also expected to pay a financial contribution of K25,000 towards the cost of his Education.

All undergraduate students not given a government scholaship or foreign have to pay the following fees
