 Dr. Dorothy Nampota (DIPED University of Malaw,BEd University of Malawi,MA[Science Education] University London, KIngs COllege, PhD University of Bath.)

Associate Proffesor in Science Education
Dorothy Nampota is an Associate Professor of Science Education in the University of Malawi, Chancellor College. She obtained a doctorate degree [PhD] in Science Education from the University of Bath in 2005; a Masters degree in the same area from University of London, Kings College in 1997 and a Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Malawi in 1991. She has published articles related to Improving the quality of science teaching and learning, the relationship between science and technology and development, curriculum issues, gender and science and technology and the role of non- formal education in poverty reduction. Her research interests include education and development;linking school science with local science, transition issues and HIV/ AIDS for the Socio- economic development of her country.
 

 Dr. Foster Kholowa (PhD in Education,Postgraduate Certificate in Primary Education,Profssiional Certificate in International Child and Youth, Master in Educatiion and Professional Development)

Last born in the family of five children. I went to Primary schoolat Chamasowa in Thyolo District Then went to William Murray Secondary school in LIlongwe from 1986-1990.Later on got selected to study at University of Malawi Chancellor College in 1990. I pursued BEd and graduated in 1995. Taught for two years at St Michaels Girls Secondary School in Mangochi before joining Chancellor College, Faculty of Education as an academic member of staff [ Language Education Specialist].
In 1998- 1999 I pursued am MA in ELT at the University of East Anglia in the UK, later 2004- 2007 I pursued a PhD in Education at the University of Malawi and Sussex in the UK. Now Senior Lecturer in Language and Literacy Education and Head of Department in the Department of Curriculum and Teaching Studies.
 

 Dr. Allan Lipenga (B.Ed (with Credit), MA, MPHIL, Ph.D.)

Senior Lecturer in CATS
Dr. Allan Lipenga is a Senior Lecture in French Methodology at Chancellor College. In addition to teaching French as a foreign language, he trains teachers for secondary schools in Malawi. His research interests focus on linguistics, teaching and learning French as well as the development of teaching and learning materials in French. He has taught at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Among his publications are contributions to the Journal of Humanities (Chancellor college) as well as the following co-authered books:

In 2006, he was nomitated Chevalier dans L'ordre des palmes Acedemiques by the French Government. The award is given to people who have made significant contributions to the French language and Culture.

 Dr. Macloud Salanjira (PhD,MA,BEd,Dip.Ed.University Certificate in Accounting,ACCA LEVEL 1,Management Analysis Certificate)

Lecturer in CATS
Dr. Macloud Frank Salanjira is a Malawian and obtained his B Ed, and MA from the University of Malawi. He now holds a PhD in Education from the University of Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa, where he studied Curriculum and Teaching Studies, specialising in Politics of the the School Curriculum and Religious Education. He is currently a lecturer in Curriculum and Teaching Studies in Religious and Moral Education and Life Skills Education at Chancellor College, a constituent college of the University of Malawi. Other areas of academic interest include: inclusive education; curriculum policy and practice;discourses in education research;qualitative research design and methodology; and research proposal development.
