PRESS RELEASE: 2023-24 UNIMA SELECTION FOR VARIOUS PROGRAMMES

On 11th September, 2023, Council for University of Malawi (UNIMA) approved names of candidates who have been admitted into the University to pursue various programmes under Special Needs, Mature Entry, Economic Fee Paying, Bachelor of Science in Geography (Open Distance and E-learning), Diploma in Statistics (Open Distance and E-learning), Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Diploma in Law programmes for the 2023/2024 academic year on non-residential basis.

The University advises that offer letters for the      selected students can be collected from the Records Offices in Mwambo or Chikowi Buildings on campus or on request from admissions@unima.mw.

TUITION FEES FOR ALL MATURE ENTRY STUDENTS (CONTINUING AND NEWLY SELECTED)

The University wishes to inform all Mature Entry Students (continuing and newly selected) that tuition fees has been adjusted upwards by 60% and the new applicable fees will be communicated to individual students.

Students should note that the University has the following payment options for all university related payments:

a) National Bank of Malawi at the Counter/Teller or Digital platform using the 12-digit individual student account number provided in the admission letter.

b) TNM Mpamba platforms (*444# or app) using the 12-digit individual student account number provided in the admission letter.

c)  Cheque Deposit: Make prior arrangements for account details and proof of payment by contacting admissions@unima.mw.

The selected candidates are expected to report for orientation on Monday, 18th September 2023 at the University of Malawi in Zomba. Classes will commence on Monday, 25th September 2023. Opening arrangements for students selected for the Diploma in Law programme will be announced in due course.
