Assistant Lecturer/Lecturer/Senior Lecturer In Law

 1. SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the posts of Assistant Lecturer/Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in law tenable in the Department of Foundational Law, Faculty of Law at University of Malawi.

2. QUALIFICATIONS

          I. Applicants for the post of Assistant Lecturer must hold a Bachelor of Laws (Honors) Upper Second Class.

         II. Applicants for post of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer must hold at least a Bachelor of Laws  (Honors) Upper Second Class degree and a Master's Degree in Law (LLM) from a recognised University.

3. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidates will be expected to supervise students, undertake research, participate in community outreach, offer relevant consultancy services and lecture in one or more of the following courses:

        I. Commercial law, Private International Law, Company Law, the Law of Business Organizations and Family Law, Taxation Law, or the Law of Contract.

 4. SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS

The application must consist of the following: an application letter; and a detailed CV (which should include names of three traceable referees); 2 copies of each relevant certificate, a statement of the candidate’s teaching and research agenda; and where available, samples of publications.The application should be sent to: The Acting Registrar, University of Malawi, P.O.
