Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor/Professor in Literatures in English (2-year contract)

University of Malawi invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor/Professor in Literatures in English in the Department of Literary Studies at the University of Malawi (2-year contract).

Suitability and Duties

Applicants applying for the position of Lecturer must posses  a minimum of a Master’s Degree or a PhD in Literature or Literary Studies. Those applying for the postion of Senior Lecturer and above must have a proven track record of academic publishing, research, and leadership. Successful candidates should at least have a minimum of two years teaching experience in two or more of the following fields: African Literature, Literary and Cultural Theory, Malawian Literature, Oral Literature, Afro-diasporic Literature, and Creative Writing.
